Description of the project:
The establishment of a breakwater system.
The breakwater array that was established to protect a cliff that runs along the city of Netanya.
Phase I includes the construction of 6 breakwaters with lengths of 100 to 200 meters, distances of 150 to 200 meters from the coastline and depths of 4 to 7 meters.
And phase B includes the construction of 6 additional vouchers.
A total of 12 marine structures that are to be built along the shores of Netanya.
Main activities in the project:
- The project to establish an array of separable breakwaters off the coast of Netanya will amount to 2.5 km of separable breakwaters to protect the coastal predicaments of the city of Netanya.
- The project requires unique engineering equipment for its execution and includes one of the largest onshore hydraulic excavators in the industry.
- A total of 100,000 tons of stone will be used for the foundation of the six structures that make up phase A and about an additional 100,000 tons for phase B.
- A total of about 60,000 tons of core stone will be used to build the core of the six breakwaters that make up phase A and about 60,000 tons more for phase B.
- A total of about 120,000 tons of armor stone will be used to build the core of the six breakwaters that make up phase one and about 120,000 tons more for phase two.
- The materials will be placed according to precise grids and the newest means of identification.
Main engineering tools in the project:
- HITACHI EX1200 excavator: a long-arm crawler excavator equipped with a smart system. Able to work at ranges of about 26 meters.
- KOBELCO 500SK crawler excavator: crawler excavator equipped with a smart system, weighing 50 tons. Ability to work in ranges of about 12 meters.
D.G.P.S system - Beadworks, eTrac:
-A dedicated navigation system that allows monitoring the location of the stone on the monitor installed in the operator's cabin.
-The system provides precise location and tracking of the tool's work, with the help of which it is possible to progress efficiently in the construction of the voucher structure.
