Project Overview
The project "Construction of Chemical Terminal One and Two in Haifa Port" required the construction of a new pier in the length of 245 meters, to replace the existing pier which was built 40 years ago.
The new pier was built to a depth of 11 meters.
Working conditions within this project were extremely complex, as throughout the project, half of the pier remained active. This required extreme precaution to avoid any damages to operating vessels.
Main elements of the project
- Construcring a 245 meters long dock with a depth of 11 meters.
- Combination wall in the length of 28.5m.
- Supply and installation of sea anchors with double protection (35m in length) by SHTUMP.
- Casting front beam from 2.4m t0 -0.6m.
- Supply and installation of fenders.
- Supply and installation of anodes.
- Bridge pipeline reinforcement by drilling piles and casting concrete connection beam.
- Dredging with the volume of 50,000 cubic meters.
- Sand filling works.
- Vibro-floatation works.
- Metal and pipeline works.
- Earth works.
- Asphalt works.
- Underwater welding.
