Project Overview
The Project "construction of a buffer battery wall at dead sea ponds 5-8", has been executed to construct a sealed sheet-pile wall in the length of 170m to lengthen the pond, by driving Larsen 607n sheet-piles. Before the piles were driven, a pre-drilling has been executed for the entire width and length of the pile. Driving has been done in pair's whereas the piles were connected by crimping via a prefabricated 3.5m high driving template - to ensure the final wall verticality. Due to the fact that the constructed wall should be fully sealed a use of a declutching system has been used which allowed checking that the sheet-pile has been driven properly without opening the locks. Driving of the sheet-piles was executed by the use of MAAGAN's 110M vibrational hammer and the D62 Diesel hammer.
Main elements of the project
- Construction of a sealed sheet-pile wall in the length of 170m
- Performing pre-drilling in a diameter of 60cm to a final depth of -24m
- Driving of Larsen 607n sheet-piles 28m long.
