Maagan Marine & Diving Works conjunction with Haifa port, conducted an oil-spill drill (a by-yearly exercise which simulates various scenarios) to simulates hull breach in a tanker located at the Chemical & Oil Terminal in the port of Haifa. Maagan Marine & Diving Works (the company responsible for providing oil-spill response at the Hafa port) excersized the deployment of marine forces, and all oil-spill equipment - furthermore, all of the deployment and communication procedures between the different forces operating at the scene have been simulated.
During the exercise, teams were dispatched to the Chemical & Oil Terminal, Booms where deployed to contain the oil-spill, and oil-spill equipment such as pompoms, pads, skimmers, and others were deployed
