Project Overview
The Project "Construction of HAMIFRATZ port", is the construction of a brand new fully operational private port, adjacent to the existing Haifa Port. Maagan has been awarded as the main sheet-pile contractor, in-charge of constructing quay 8 of the new port – 450 meters of main, 450 meters of anchor wall, and placement of 220 tie rods for anchoring. The project has been divided into two segments: 1) The construction of the main wall completely from the sea by the use of floating cranes, jack-ups and barges. 2) The construction of the anchor wall executed from the reclamation area.
Main elements of the project
- Construction of quay 8 main wall in the length of 450m - constructed out of a Combination wall in the length 40m
- Construction of quay 8 anchor wall in the length of 450m
- Execution of the project's PDA test
- Installation of 220 ties rods in the length of 41m each.
