Project Overview

The Gulf Port was delivered to a Chinese franchisee for a company called SIPG which received a 25-year franchise for its construction and operation.
The project covers an area of ​​540 acres for Phase A and 200 additional acres for Phase II.
Start of project - 01.06.2018
Planned completion of project 01.06.2021
The container terminal covers an area of ​​about 340 acres of operating space, 200 acres of administrative space.
The operating area is divided into 10 + 2 beds for container storage, with 2 RMG cranes for each bed.
Also 8 cranes along the STS platform.
The cranes are transported on 13,000m of steel rails installed on concrete foundations.

Earthworks

Infrastructure

  • 12,850m of piping for power and communication sleeves in ground wrapped in concrete.

  • 7,500m drainage pipe with diameters between 400-1200 mm
  • 3,600m gravity and drainage sewer pipe.
  • 10,800m 250mm fire extinguishing water pipeline.
  • 160 hydrants with 2/4 heads.
  • 2 fire and sewage pumping stations.

Concrete works

  • 50,000 cubic meters of concrete for crane foundations and containers.
  • 29 buildings with a total area of 12,000 square meters
  • 1 Main building three (3) floors 3,000 sqm
  • 1 central garage building 2,500 sqm
  • 6 different warehouse structure.
  • 6 transformation stations.
  • 1 generator structure
  • 2 pumping stations.
  • 3 service buildings
  • 9 different office structure (entrance, exit, train, transport).

Development work

  • 24,000m kerb stones.
  • 80,000 square meters of paving parking lots and areas with stone paving 6/8/10 cm.
  • 145,000 tonnes of asphalt (3-4 layers).
